It is often said that weight loss is a lifelong pursuit for women, but with the continuous improvement in living standards, men have also joined the quest for a healthy physique. While it may not necessarily mean achieving the defined muscle lines of bodybuilders, the goal is to maintain a balanced body composition, avoiding extremes of thinness or obesity.

In the past, various weight-loss methods have emerged, including diet plans and medication. However, based on the effectiveness and rebound rates of these methods, exercise-based weight loss remains the healthiest and safest approach. Even if weight loss is not the primary objective, regular exercise is essential for maintaining overall physical health. While many individuals recognize the importance of exercise, adhering to a consistent routine can be a significant challenge.

Gyms offer a professional environment for fitness enthusiasts, but it is not the only avenue for achieving weight-loss goals. Since graduating from college, I have maintained a home-based exercise routine, with remarkable results. During my most successful period, I lost approximately 30 pounds within three months.

At the time of my college graduation, I weighed around 160 pounds. After three months of consistent home workouts, I had successfully reduced my weight to approximately 125 pounds. However, I subsequently lost motivation and reverted to unhealthy eating habits, particularly overindulging in seafood. As a result, my weight rebounded to around 150 pounds by the end of 2019.

Drawing from my experience of exercise-based weight loss, I have since regained control and reduced my weight back down to 130 pounds. The key tools in this successful journey were two mobile applications: Keep and Switch's "Fitness Ring Adventure." I believe that many individuals are familiar with these applications, if not already using them. However, I am curious about the comparative effectiveness of these two software tools in achieving weight-loss goals. I intend to conduct a two-month experiment to assess the weight-loss efficacy of Switch's "Fitness Ring Adventure" within the context of a sports and sensory game.
